Disney On Ice

Seth & I took Suri on a special date to see Disney On Ice: 100 Years of Magic on October 14, 2012. It takes a lot to keep this little girl's attention and thankfully the show did just that! She was so excited when Mickey and Minnie Mouse came out and throughout the whole show, she just couldn't take her eyes off of the characters! And neither could I, lol. Seriously, it's not just for the kiddos. I absolutely LOVED the show! Seth liked it too, but me - being the big Disney nerd - did not want to leave! We left early to avoid the crowds, but what we did see of the show was wonderful! Seth's favorite part was 'It's A Small World,' where people represented all the different countries around the world and did dances native to their culture - all in a beautiful wintry, blue and white motif! My favorite was Beauty and the Beast, and I got super excited when Chip, Mrs. Potts and all the other characters came out! We were also really impressed by the Toy Story soldiers, they had some amazing ice skating moves! Suri really seemed to enjoy it all, but it was fun when she actually pointed out and said, "Mickey mouse, Minnie mouse!" It was a magical time with our little girl and we'll never forget the look on her face! We can't wait to share many more experiences like this with our beautiful baby girls!

Sarah's 26th Birthday!

My 26th birthday was pretty great! My friends put balloons outside our door, Brock bought me donuts, Seth & the girls took me out to dinner - just a wonderful day :)  Then over the weekend, Seth made my birthday present wish come true - PADDLEBOARDING! Scary at first, but so much fun once we got the hang of it! It was very relaxing and a nice way to spend some time with Seth. We had fun goofing off in the freezing cold water & we both enjoyed exploring this new activity! Too bad boards are so flippin expensive. Oh well. We ended up going out to eat again for my birthday - so it was like the special day lasted all week long! Not that I'm spoiled or anything ;) But thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes & cards & gifts... Love you all!

Then here are some random shots from home. Suri loves wearing heels - be it mine or some fun Princess ones from the neighbor girls! And I thought she would be a total tomboy! I was so wrong! Suri also looooves the camera - but only if she's the one behind the lens.

Free Museum Day

A friend of ours told us about this event the Smithsonian Magazine hosted: Smithsonian Museum Day Live, providing a free ticket to museums around the country. So on Saturday, September 29, 2012, we went to the San Diego Air & Space Museum along with our neighbor friends! Suri loved running around the museum and checking out all the cool helicopters and airplanes, and then getting to play in the 'Kid's Aviation Action Hangar' area. We had a fun time with our friends and it was nice to get out and see a new sight in San Diego with our girls!

A smorgasbord of pics...and possibly a video

Smorgasbord. Such a cool word to say. Ha. So yes, hopefully this post will be a smorgasbord (varied collection) of pictures and videos that will keep you entertained and satisfied until our camera battery charges and I can upload the most recent photos of the girls.

Suri loves to come up with the cutest outfits! * Big Sister driving

Daddy & Mommy love you!  * Suri Jean (she was such a trooper!)

I hope this video works. I wanted to show you all how awesome Suri was at moving around with her cast on and I know no one really got to see it in person, so this will hopefully work & give you a glimpse into what it was like for her! Basically, after she got the hang of it, it didn't faze her at all! :)

Suri's had the cast off for almost a month now and has been doing really well with walking again. Started out with quite the limp and her foot turned out, but she's walking much better and bending her leg & jumping and running around like nothing ever happened! We are truly grateful she recovered so well & healed quickly! This little girl is gonna be a handful, and an adventure seeker just like her daddy!! Stay tuned for new pics...
